Connect With Sierra Oshrin

Sierra joined the KBOI 2News team as a Reporter in May, 2015. Since then, she has become the weekend weather anchor and weekday multimedia journalist.

She is from Arizona, but has spent a few months in Washington, D.C. and San Francisco. She graduated from the Cronkite School at Arizona State University where she studied journalism and mass communication with minors in political science and international studies.

During her time at Arizona State, she interned for USA TODAY, KAET-TV, KMXP-FM and Mode Media. Sierra was also a Washington Correspondent for Cronkite News where she delivered nightly live reports from the nation’s capital. While in D.C., she interviewed Senator John McCain about Kayla Mueller, an American hostage and Arizona native who was killed by Jordanian airstrikes in 2015. Sierra also assisted on shoots with former U.S. Secretary of State, Madeleine Albright and former GOP presidential candidate, Carly Fiorina.
