Kelsey started her career in broadcast at the age of 4. Her calling in TV was not apparent after she tried her hand at co-hosting the morning show with her older brother on the Royal Viking Sun, a cruise ship her father worked on. From then, she practiced reading aloud to her stuffed animals and family until she had her next opportunity at 17 years-old. Discussing travel and the weather on Crystal Cruises alongside her father, Kelsey’s second round in front of a camera was more graceful.
Kelsey received her Associate’s degree in Communication from Taft College, where she played collegiate volleyball. She moved on to receive her Bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism from the University of Las Vegas, Nevada, where she was born and raised. Kelsey gained professional experience interning at KVVU-TV and volunteering at KLAS-TV.
Joining KBOI 2News in March 2015 as a reporter, Kelsey has since fallen in love with Boise and the amazing stories that the community has to offer.
A few fun facts…Kelsey has a cat named Marti, even though she’s allergic and prefers dogs. (Don’t worry, she treats him well!)
She spent years working on board Crystal Cruises as an activities director to take full advantage of her passion for traveling. A proclaimed adventurist; she still feels her best at home with the family and friends she loves the most.
