After Boise used a trio of doubles in the top of the seventh to cut a 4-0 deficit in half, the C's took advantage of an error, a hit by pitch, and an infield single to load the bases. Dickie Thon Jr. walked with bases loaded to make it 5-2, and an out later, Leyland hammered a pitch off the centerfield wall to plate three, pushing the score to 8-2.
Vancouver jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first two innings, as a Leyland double in the first opened the scoring, as the C's plated two runs in the first and second. The score would stay that way until the seventh, when back to back doubles from Jordan Hankins and Shawon Dunston Jr. got the Hawks on the board, and a two-out Rony Rodriguez two-bagger making in 4-2.
Kyle Anderson got the win for the C's, tossing five shutout innings - as Vancouver won for the fourth-straight time.
Dunston went 3-for-5 in the loss for Boise, with Hankins recording his first multi-hit game of his professional career, going 2-for-4.
Game 4 of the series is tomorrow night at 8:05 p.m., with Dae-Eun Rhee meeting Jeremy Gabryszwski.
