It was the seventh overtime playoff game for Idaho this year, but longest of the seven. Idaho is 5-2 in those games.
Andrew Carroll put Idaho on the board about midway through the second period, wristing the puck past Stockton goaltender Olivier Roy for a 1-0 lead. It was the first lead of the series for the Steelheads.
Stockton tied it up early in the third on an Eric Hunter rebound goal past Josh Robinson.
Robinson was terrific in net for Idaho, playing a major role in four successful penalty kill shifts in the game's first 22 minutes. By night's end, Robinson saved 41 pucks.
Idaho can tie the series up at two games each in game four, set for Friday at 8:30 p.m. (MST) in Stockton. The game will be televised in Idaho on CableOne's channel 17, and on a pay-per-view basis by www.americaone.com.
