Some of the world's best skateboarders and BMX riders will convene to downtown Boise this June to qualify for the X Games.

The city of Boise announced the event Wednesday.

ESPN will live stream the competition and it will then be televised on ABC the following week.

The event will feature men's skateboard, women's skateboard and BMX. A total of 60 athletes will compete with the top finishers competing in the finals on Saturday.

Tickets for the event will be $20 and will be sold on a first come, first serve basis. The city of Boise created a website ahead of the event.

“This is a great opportunity for a worldwide audience to learn about the City of Boise and what makes living here so special,” said Doug Holloway, Boise Parks and Recreation Department Director. “We are proud of the improvements that have been made to Rhodes Skate Park and are excited to welcome ESPN and these world class athletes to Boise to compete.”
