Connor's favorite sport is basketball, and on Friday night his favorite team showed him they're fighting along side the 16-year-old.
"I didn't know it was going to happen, so it was pretty exciting to have the team and everyone do that for me," said Connor Martin.
"They've been there from day one, when he was diagnosed 'til today, and have been with him. They've been at the hospital. The Coaches and players have come to the hospital, visited and saw him. They allowed him to be in the locker room with them. They've just adopted him and really taken on this cause, and this fight that he's in," added Connor's father, Jim Martin.
"He's been really close to the team, he's our honorary captain this year, and he has quotes for us before the game, and they're right on. He should be a coach some day. He just knows basketball. These guys really appreciate the battle that he's fighting, and they see the courage that he fights it with. Like I said, he's been an inspiration to us," said Boise State head coach Leon Rice with a smile on his face.
I'm sure Team Conner will be in full effect Wednesday night when the undefeated Broncos host the undefeated Utah Utes. Tip time at Taco Bell Arena is just after 8 pm (MT).
