In fact, the only time the offense got the best of the defense was during a pre-scrimmage "Wannabe One-on-One Drill" when offensive lineman Matt Paradis found fellow lineman Marcus Henry for a combined 585 pound touchdown.
Of course, Coach Pete doesn't get to pick sides, which makes it hard to get excited about a scrimmage
"Nothing is good, you know? On one side, when the offense is moving the ball down there, I'm thinking we're not in shape on defense. Then our defense makes a play in the end zone and I'm thinking that's a really bad play by our offense. So we'll go back, put the tape on, and analyze what really was a good play on either side of the ball, and where we really need to sure up things," said Petersen.
Time to correct those issues is running out. The Broncos are less than two weeks away from kicking off the 2013 season at the University of Washington.
