Broncos ready for up-tempo Huskies

BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - The Broncos know what they're up against in Washington, they finished the 2012 season with a win over the Huskies in the MAACO Bowl Las Vegas.

This time around, we can expect an speedy, almost Oregon-like, offense with very little down time for a defense to catch their breath.

"Tempo can do a lot of different things to you, and one of things it can do it tire you out as the game goes on. And these offenses are called spread for a reason, you know the spread you out, the spread you sideline to sideline, and get you running. All that can have an effect on your guys over the course of a game," said head coach Chris Petersen.

"As a D-lineman, it sucks going no huddle, but, you know what, you get used to it. It's just like any other guy. I mean, if we do a good job on defense, I bet we can slow 'em down a little bit, so if we do that then that works out for us," added senior defensive tackle Ricky Tjon-A-Tjoe.

We'll find out for sure when the Broncos open up their football season Saturday night against Washington at the all-new Husky Stadium.
