Twin Falls woman denies abusing dementia patient
TWIN FALLS, Idaho (AP) - A Twin Falls woman accused of hitting a dementia patient in the head with a pipe has pleaded not guilty to aggravated battery.
The Times-News reports 62-year-old Jordana Brenda Bryan entered her plea Monday in Twin Falls County Magistrate Court. Bryan runs the assisted living home where the dementia patient lived.
Kelly Bryan, the daughter of Jordana Bryan's former husband, reported the assault. She said Jordana Bryan made the man go outside on Jan. 22 to get dressed because she felt it was taking him too long in the bathroom. She said when the man tried to come inside, Jordana Bryan hit him with the pipe. Kelly Bryan said she did not intervene out of fear, but called a social worker the next day.
A trial has not yet been scheduled.
