Semi hauling 23,000 pounds of smokeless gun powder crashes on Highway 95
COUNCIL, Idaho (KBOI) —
A semi hauling tens of thousands of pounds worth of smokeless gun powder crashed near Council earlier Monday.
Idaho State Police says the crash occurred at about 8:50 a.m. No one was injured.
The Idaho Transportation Department says the highway is blocked between Fruitvale Glendale Road and East Fork Road, which is about seven miles north of Council.
Idaho State Police says Steven Blehm, 57, of Lakewood, Colo., was driving northbound in a 2015 Peterbuilt semi tractor pulling a flatbed trailer with a shipping container. As the vehicle went around a corner the trailer went off the road partly into the barrow pit and tipped, coming to rest at an angle.
