Police say they were notified that a local Home Depot's bookkeeper had noticed that a $100 bill that had been passed to them yesterday appeared to be fake.
With help from the store employees, police say they were able to find security video of the man who used the bill.
Officers say they warned other Boise retailers to keep an eye out for the man using the network created by the Boise Police Organized Retail Crime Interdiction Unit.
Police say the man was spotted by employees at the same Home Depot later Monday morning, but he left before officers arrived.
Officers say they caught up to the man at another Home Depot and arrested him after he tried to use another counterfeit bill.
After a search, police say they found that Roque Stuart was in possession of $7500 in fake $100 bills.
Stuart was arrested and booked into the Ada County Jail on the charge of forgery.
Boise Police say that, along with the US Secret Service, they have found that these bills may have been used in Colorado and Utah as well.
