Motorcyclist rescued after crash on Bogus Basin Road

BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - Boise firefighters rescued a motorcyclist who crashed and fell some 50 feet down an embankment off Bogus Basin Road Sunday afternoon.

Dispatch says the crash happened around 3:45 p.m. Sunday near milepost 4.

According to the Ada County Sheriff's Office, a group of motorcyclists was riding south on Bogus Basin Road when one of them lost control, hit a barrier and was thrown from his motorcycle down an embankment.

Deputies say the man rolled approximately 50 feet and into a barbed wire fence.

It took firefighters about an hour to pull the man back up onto the road. He was taken to the hospital with what appear to be non-life threatening injuries.

Ada County Sheriff's Office says the man was wearing a helmet, which likely made a huge difference.
