Meridian woman, 32, rescued after spending hours in crashed vehicle
MERIDIAN, Idaho (KBOI) -- A Meridian woman spent several hours in her vehicle after crashing into a ravine in southeast Oregon, police say.
Oregon State Police says 32-year-old Tarah Colwell's vehicle was spotted by Oregon Department of Transportation employees off Highway 95 near Rome. The workers say they hiked about 100 yards to the vehicle and found Colwell conscious, but trapped inside.
She told the ODOT employees that she had been in her vehicle since early in the morning after her vehicle left the highway.
She was taken to West Valley Medical Center in Caldwell and was later treated and released.
