McCall kicks off Winter Carnival with new sculptures
McCall, Idaho (KBOI) - There are around 25 ice sculptures dotting the town in McCall during the week of the Winter Carnival. The grand prize winner this year went to The Pharaohs Tomb, that was encased in a pyramid with a sphinx on top.
The First place winner went to The Ice Bar at Salmon River Brewery, with beer taps and all. "There was probably five or six people who worked on it for six or seven days, pretty much all day every day. A lot of chain sawing, a lot of grinding a lot of heat melting together. It was a lot of work but it turned out really nice," Matt Amick said.
