Man thrown over median after motorcycle accident
BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) -- A man was thrown from his motorcycle after he crashed on the Franklin exit ramp Friday morning around 1:30 a.m.
Idaho State Police said Robert Coy, of Boise, was coming off the Connector, when he lost control of his 2011 Kawasaki Motorcycle on a turn and flew over the median and landed in the on-ramp.
While EMT's rushed Coy to a local hospital, firefighters were called in to hose off the road.
Police closed the on-ramp for more than two hour to figure out how the man crashed and to clean up the mess.
Troopers said they're still investigating how the crash happened.
"We're looking into alcohol use as well, or that's being investigated at this point," Corp. Scott Tulleners of Idaho State Police said.
Coy was not wearing his helmet at the time of the crash, he is listed in critical condition in a Boise hospital.
