Man busted with 3 pounds of pot, marijuana butter, sheriff says
STAR, Idaho (KBOI) -- An Oregon man has been busted for felony trafficking after he was found with more than three pounds of marijuana during a traffic stop Wednesday, authorities said on Friday.
The Ada County Sheriff's Office says deputies were called out to North Can Ada Road and State Street for a report of a driver who was all over the road, nearly causing several crashes.
Police stopped the driver, 35-year-old Robert Simunich, of Bend, Ore. A police K9 search led deputies to 3.44 pounds of pot and 1.65 pounds of hash oil mixed with marijuana butter. Investigators believe the street value of the drugs to be worth about $16,000.
Simunich has been booked on felony drug trafficking as well as reckless driving.
