Idaho Press-Tribune newspaper carrier dies in crash

CALDWELL, Idaho (KBOI) - The Idaho Press-Tribune says one of its long-time newspaper carriers has died in a traffic crash.

Idaho State Police says the crash was a one vehicle rollover about 5:20 a.m. on South Highway 55 (Karcher Road) between Midway Road and Lake Avenue.

The car was headed toward Marsing when it went off the road and hit a tree, ISP reports. No other vehicles were involved in the accident.

The victim, Art Heath, was a long-term paper carrier for the Idaho Press-Tribune, and the accident occurred when he was driving to his route, the newspaper reports.

"It's a very sad day for the Idaho Press-Tribune," said Matt Davison, the publisher and president of the Idaho Press-Tribune. "Art has been a longtime carrier, and our thoughts and prayers are with his family."
