On Thursday a closed sign welcomed visitors to the Idaho Aquarium. Its owners were across town being indicted by the Federal government. They are accused of illegally bringing marine animals from Florida to Idaho.
But today it was business as usual. The parking lot was full for much of the morning and two bus-loads of children toured the aquarium.
Alicia Perkins hadn't heard the news and she was upset when we told her about the indictments.
"I'm really kind of sad because I think something like this is really exciting to have in Idaho. We just moved from southern California where there are a lot of bigger places. So I'm really sad that if it has to go, we will not have something like this in Boise," Perkins says.
Hillary Hofhines came despite the news.
"We are still coming because we bought a family pass, and I don't know all the details of this story and until proven guilty I have to assume innocence," Hofhines says.
Stephanie Leonard, a marine biologist on staff says the person from whom they acquired the sharks had some permit issues and that all the animals in the aquarium are legal.
