MERIDIAN, Idaho (KBOI) -- Meridian Police are looking for two people they said could be involved in an unusual hit-and-run at the corner of Black Cat and Chinden Boulevard.
Officers said around 7 a.m. Wednesday, a man was driving eastbound on Chinden Boulevard, when he noticed a green passenger car that was attempting to make a U-turn. The victim swerved into the westbound lane to miss the collison, but the green car still hit his passenger door.
Police said the driver of the green car took off, but his license plate ended up wedged in the victim's passenger door.
Meridian Police said the victim called 911, and while he was waiting for officers to arrive, a man in a blue Voltswagon Jetta pulled up, claiming he was a witness. He asked the victim if he was OK, but then ran and grabbed the license plate and took off as well.
Police said the man who grabbed the license plate is in his 20s. The victim described him as a man who's about 6 feet tall, has dark complextion, is heavy set and has short dark hair.
Meridian officers are asking if you have any information on this hit and run, that you call police. Police said the victim was not hurt, and his car is driveable.
