As the Boise Chapter prepared for its Heart Ball fundraiser February 16th, organizers pushed for everyone - women and men - to remember key statistics.
Heart disease is the number one killer of all Americans.
One in three women die of it everyday.
So what can you do to stay healthy?
"By being active. Being informed. Know the signs," said Heart Ball Committee member Mary Kate Hooft. "That's one of the things the AHA uses the funds for is educating people: what are the signs of cardiovascular disease? What are the signs of stroke?"
Proceeds raised from the Heart Ball go directly to the local American Heart Association chapter.
