Don't complain too much - Idaho gas prices among cheapest
BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - Gas prices are still high. But we can't complain too much if you take a look at the rest of the country.
AAA Idaho said Tuesday that Idaho residents are paying a penny less for unleaded gasoline than they were a month ago and 23 cents less than the U.S. average of $3.67. Drivers here are paying an average of $3.43 a gallon.
Our neighbors, Wyoming and Montana, are the only states in the country with cheaper fuel - Wyoming, $3.33 and Montana, $3.36. | Find the Cheapest Gas in the Treasure Valley
Neighbors to the west of Idaho, including California, $4.05 and Washington, $3.76, are currently among the ten most expensive places to fuel up.
So, what's in store for the immediate future?
"It's still too soon to say whether retail prices have peaked this spring, because there is still refinery maintenance to be completed and much of the country has yet to transition to summer-blend gasoline," said AAA Idaho spokesman Dave Carlson.
