The Boise County Sheriff's Office says deputies clocked two motorcycle riders heading south on Highway 55 traveling 89 miles per hour in a 55 mph zone heading toward Horseshoe Bend.
Deputies attempting to reach the motorcyclists went up to 100 miles per hour at times as the chase approached the Horseshoe Bend area.
The rider was eventually stopped in Gem County along Highway 52 at the Triangle Truck Stop and the rider was detained until Boise County Sheriff Deputies arrived and placed the rider under arrest for felony eluding.
The motorcyclist was not identified by police because he's a minor. He was later turned over to his parents and petitioned into juvenile court on the felony eluding charges.
The second motorcycle rider, police say, pulled off into the Horseshoe Bend area and then also drove onto Highway 52 15 minutes later.
Deputies say 18-year-old Joseph Hon of Nampa had stopped and attempted to mingle in with other motorcycle riders that were stopped along the highway, police say, but was later singled out. He was arrested for felony eluding and transported to Ada County Jail.
