Department of Defense says it hasn't forgotten about Bergdahl
WASHINGTON, D.C., (KBOI) - The Department of Defense says it hasn't forgotten Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl."We are strongly dedicated to getting Bowe Bergdahl home to his family in Idaho," George Little, Pentagon press secretary said Thursday.
"We want to see that happen as quickly as possible. We never forget those who remain in the custody of those who should not be holding our soldiers."
Bergdahl, 26, is the only U.S. Prisoner of war from the Afghan conflict. His family marked the third anniversary of his capture earlier this summer. He's believed to be held in Pakistan or Afghanistan. He is assigned to 1st Battalion, 501st Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, based at Fort Richardson, Alaska.
