Crash on I-84 sends Boise woman to the hospital
ELMORE COUNTY, Idaho (KBOI) - Idaho State Police is investigating a single car crash on I-84 near Simco Road in Elmore County Sunday morning that sent the driver to the hospital.
The crash happened around 8:30 a.m. Sunday.
Deputies say a Boise woman, 53-year-old Karen Hammond, was driving east on the interstate in a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The car was pulling a trailer.
According to ISP, Hammond lost control of the car and the trailer, which overturned and landed on their sides near the Simco road on ramp..
Hammond was taken to St. Luke's in Meridian, but there is no word on her condition.
Traffic was down to one lane on the interstate for about two hours. The crash is still under investigation.
