Court Docs: Idaho judge blew three times legal limit while driving

BOISE, Idaho (AP) - Police in Boise say a Twin Falls County magistrate judge had a blood alcohol level of nearly three times the legal limit when she was cited for excessive driving under the influence after an April 19 traffic stop in Boise.

The Times-News reports court records say 42-year-old Nicole Cannon's breath tests showed her blood-alcohol level was 0.239 on the first test and 0.221on the second. A person is considered legally drunk if their BAC is 0.08 and can be charged with excessive DUI in Idaho with a BAC of 0.20 or higher.

Cannon has pleaded not guilty. Her trial is set for June 29.

Fifth Judicial District Court administrator Linda Wright has said Cannon will not hear DUI cases while her own case is pending.
