"Commissioner Ferdinand who has media and theater background picked me out of a crowd at one of our department head meetings and, "Say, doesn't he look like Governor Willey?" And now here we are," says Jim Martell, the Gov. Willey look-alike.
Art from elementary students and more professional drawings from the high school level helped the county's future connect with its past. Fifth grade student Destiny Blanke submitted the winning essay and even got the chance to read it in front of the audience.
"When I did the research it surprised me because it's so much different of how what happened then and then what happened now," says Blanke.
The courthouse will have historical displays, live music and refreshments available until seven o'clock tonight.
