Ada County Dispatch says they received a call about 4:30 p.m. that the devices had been spotted at the home on the 200 block of E. 41st Street.
A cleaning crew that was working inside the home found the two pipes which had caps on the ends of them. They then brought the pipes out into the yard before calling officers.
Police say they arrived on scene to find what appeared to be two possible devices in the lawn of the home and called the Bomb Squad for support.
The Bomb Squad investigated, and after determining that the devices appeared suspicious, they brought in their specialized robot. They used it to inspect the devise and use a counter charge to set it off.
Officers said they were able to determine that the devices were not pipe bombs and removed them from the scene. Authorities say there were not explosives inside.
Some neighbors were evacuated, and the street was blocked off for about three hours. Police said the home had been abandoned for about a month, but said there were reports of people staying inside since.
