A group of teenagers worked with police officers and used their real, under-age ID's to try to buy alcohol at local stores. Many of the places that were looked into were places that had complaints about serving alcohol to minors.
After 60 bars, convenience stores and restaurants were checked throughout the city, only one place failed. The failed restaurant on Broadway Avenue checked the teenager's ID, but still served alcohol to the minor.
This is improvement from the alcohol compliance check last august, where 79 retailers were checked and 9 failed.
