The Boise Fire Department came out on top once again when it comes to fund-raising.
More than 1,500 firefighters took part in the climb from 300 departments. They climbed the Columbia Tower's 60 flights of stairs wearing 50 pounds of gear.
The annual event raises money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The Boise Fire Department raised almost $39,000 for the cause and Nampa is also a top fund-raising department coming in 8th with $21,000.
