The flight to Seattle just got a lot bigger.

The Boise Airport said Monday that Alaska Airlines plans to begin flying a Boeing 737 between Boise and Seattle beginning next June. It will replace one of the airline's smaller regional jets in service and will add about 60 seats per day to and from Seattle.

“We’re thrilled Alaska Airlines continues to invest in our community by adding mainline service to Seattle, our largest origination/destination market,” said Rebecca Hupp, Boise Airport director. “Alaska’s continued success in the Boise region is a testament to their passenger loyalty and commitment to the Boise market.”

The flight from Boise to Seattle will depart at 3:40 p.m. once a day beginning on June 4 and then depart Seattle at 12:15 p.m. local every day.
