Bragdon is a Washington native, who's familiar with the strength of the Great Northwest Athletic Conference, but he spent 13 years in the midwest learning from some of the best coaches in college basketball. That includes a connection to Pat Summitt's coaching tree, beginning at Ohio University under a former volunteer.
"Semeka Randall, I took away the Tennessee way, she one a National Championship at Tennessee, she was one of the three Meeks. So that was invaluable, getting to meet Pat Summitt, talk to her about basketball and then most recently, Stephanie Glance, who was with Pat Summitt for a year but i'm just fortunate to have that little piece of Tennessee through the tree a little bit," said Bragdon.
Bragdon replaces Kelli Lindley, who resigned as women's basketball coach to become associate athletic director at NNU.
Bragdon says all the team's incoming recruits have remained committed through the change. NNU made the NCAA Division 2 tournament last season.
