Drunk driver intentionally slammed into 4 patrol vehicles: NPD
NAMPA, Idaho (KBOI) - Four Nampa Police patrol vehicles received extensive damage following a dangerous pursuit early Monday morning.
Nampa PD says 22-year-old Alex Cedillo was spotted speeding in a Ford Expedition on Caldwell Boulevard at about 12:47 a.m. As the officer attempted to stop the vehicle, officials say the driver tried to elude police. At one point in the pursuit, an officer initiated a PIT maneuver but was unable to get the car stopped. NPD says Cedillo later intentionally rammed several police cars.
A second PIT move was successful as the Expedition crashed near Blue Stone Court and West Crystal Falls.
Cedillo has been charged with felony eluding, driving without privileges, open container and aggravated assault. NPD says his blood alcohol was twice the legal limit.
